Born in the late 70's in the Uptown Section of New Orleans, Brenda and Carl experienced the birth of their first son 6lb 7oz baby boy C. Porter a.k.a "Doe'ja da Don". Growing up in the 17th ward in a neighborhood called Gertown. Doe'ja learned about the streets at an early age, loosing childhood friends at the hands of drugs and murder, he searched for an outlet to avoid the trappings of the inner city violence, he became strongly attached to the newest form of music hailing from the East coast known as Hip-Hop
